- (kohn trah'dah) The traditions of Siena's Il Palio horse races inspire Contrada Dinnerware, named for the 17 contrade, or disticts of Siena that compete in this legendary festival. Dashes of green, gold, and spice upon handformed shapes evoke the pageantry of the famous race. Swirling patterns on five very special accessories are signed by Rita Rossi, original creator of the design more than 20 years ago.
